About
Mother Silver is handmade, thoughtfully sourced and produced, and small batch or one of a kind. I strive to keep my ideas as unique as possible in a world of over saturation. Everything I make by my hands, using wax techniques or metal fabrication.
My jewelry is inspired by the movement in the natural landscapes around us. The word I feel close to is flow. Flow of water. Flow of wind that shakes the trees and moves the dirt. Flow of energy in and out of us all. We are connected to this movement. We are apart of nature, not separated. And I feel this deeply.
I work predominately in both silver and gold. My silver collections are sold in retail stores around the world, and some pieces are on my website. My fine jewelry is mostly custom work. I am very open to taking customs in both metals and I love to work with other people to expand my design mind.
My name is Dani Harrison. I began metalsmithing in my bedroom in 2018. I had a small hand torch and a silly set up that allowed me to begin the process. I learned some very basic techniques through internet resources anda ton of generous advice from other jewelers.
As of today, I have had the privilege to work next to masters of the craft in New York City, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico City, and San Diego. I am very grateful to have had these experiences and look forward to continuing to expand my relationships and knowledge in the metalsmith world. I feel very lucky to be able to create and share the process that I love so much. Thank you for sharing this with me.
