Jewelry Care

Each piece of jewelry is handmade and meant to last a lifetime. I use .925 sterling silver and occasionally other metals such as brass, bronze, and gold. The stones I use are natural from the Earth, and chosen mindfully. All of the materials I use are sourced from reputable or well known jewelry supply companies and lapidary artists. Some lapidary artists are my dear friends.

Sterling silver is a wonderful and sustainable metal. It will never turn your skin and will last forever, so long as you handle with care. To prevent tarnish or damage and to maintain the quality and longevity of your piece, there are some simple care instructions. Avoid wearing your piece during swimming and bathing, washing dishes and using household cleaning products, or other tasks that might damage the silver or the stone. Other everyday products can harm the piece and may change the color of the stone and metal, such as lotions, makeup, and hair products. To prevent oxidation in the silver causing a piece that looks 'worn', you may store your silver pieces in an air tight plastic bag. You can keep your pieces looking new and shiny by cleaning them using a mild soap and water and a soft jewelry polishing cloth with your jewelry. Refrain from using cleaning chemicals.

The stones I use are natural, and therefore they can be fragile and porous. This means that rough wear, exposure to products such as lotions, harsh soaps, chlorine, etc. can alter the color and texture of the stone. Please be mindful and treat your stones as though they are natural entities!

Following these guidelines will ensure a lifetime long piece of jewelry.
